I started Baja way back 2019 and it’s been with me through inner battles since then. I believe in resonating, in relating, in healing. And this journey has helped me throughout. Creating has helped me heal, and still does up to this day.

I started Baja wanting to live in pieces and in the style I wanted to wear but was too ‘broke’ to purchase. It sparked an idea “I can make it myself”, there was a spark, and I fed it and started a fire.

After endless tutorials on youtube, to looking for suppliers of materials, to slowly building my capital from little to no savings, finding ways to purchase the tools i needed for the craft, using whatever I can find, visiting relatives and finding stuff in their garage that I can use, to realizing how hard it was, and to getting to know the metal I was into. There I was, under the acacia tree beside our home with nothing but a borrowed hammer, some scrap pipes and beams to use as an anvil – I started creating.

I started with designs I wanted to wear for myself, and just went with the flow as the fire of the torch made it easier for me to bend the metal to how I wanted them to turn out.I poured my heart and soul into each piece, infusing them with my hopes, dreams, and struggles. Each creation became a reflection of my journey, a tangible reminder of my resilience and determination. Despite the challenges and setbacks, I persisted, driven by a passion that burned brighter with each strike of the hammer.

As I honed my craft, I began to experiment with different techniques, pushing the boundaries of what I thought was possible. I discovered the beauty of imperfections, finding grace in the asymmetry and uniqueness of each piece. Through trial and error, I embraced the process of creation, learning to appreciate the journey as much as the destination.

With each new design, I found myself growing, evolving, and transforming alongside my creations. What started as a simple desire to dress in my own style had blossomed into a profound connection with my craft. Baja had become more than just a collection of jewelry; it was a testament to my growth, my resilience, and my unwavering belief in the power of creation.

And so, under the watchful branches of the acacia tree, I continued to forge ahead, shaping metal and dreams with equal fervor. Each piece carried a piece of my story, a fragment of my soul, and a promise of new beginnings. In the dance of flames and metal, I found solace, purpose, and a sense of belonging that words could never capture. Baja was not just a brand; it was a symbol of my journey, my passion, and my unwavering commitment to creating beauty out of chaos.
